Abandon a quest

What happens when you abandon a quest? Is there any way to get it back? (I just wanted to end it, not remove it.)

When you dismiss a new quest, or abandon an ongoing quest, you will need to gain a few levels before you can get the same quest again.

But there is no reason to abandon a quest if you just want to temporarily end it. There's no penalty for having multiple ongoing quests, and if you fail a quest, you can immediately retry it. Your quest progress is automatically saved between play sessions.

Or is there a specific reason why you want to end a quest prematurely?
