can I change my screen name? if so, how?

You can change your name if you use your Google account thorugh your control panel. You can do that by going to Gmail, clicking "Account configuration" (in the upper right part of the screen), then "Control Panel -->See data stored in this account" and finally "Edit personal information" (I don't know if I have translated these buttons in the right way since I don't use Gmail in English).

Concerning Facebook I can't help you because I don't have an account on this social network. Sorry.
