Changing your display name and profile picture

I can't believe that there's no way to change your display name and profile picture on Planeto, especially since the service forces you to connect to Facebook or Google if you want to register. This is ridiculous. I don't want people seeing my full name and picture--this seems like the most basic security feature you could offer. Come on, people. This isn't LinkedIn or PayPal. It's a game. There's no reason whatsoever why anyone's full name would need to appear.

I saw a staff member's response to a similar question posted nine months ago: "we can not provide that possibility at this time." Why can't you? Not offering any privacy settings whatsoever sends the message that you don't respect your users very much. This is disappointing for me because I really do like Planeto--but until some better privacy settings are implemented, I won't be returning.

    Hi Katethesplendid,

    When we first deployed the Planeto Quiz beta we intentionally only allowed real Facebook and Google names. Mainly to minimize the risk of trolls and abusive users. However, this is something we're currently re-evaluating. Later this spring we are planning to re-write the software of our user account system, and it's very likely that we will open up for changing user name and profile pictures at that time. Sorry for the inconvenience in the meantime.
